Jeevan khatar prani de lai jiven pran zaruri ey; Teer nun chille charhan de lai jiven Kaman zaroori ey. Dharti bajhon kam nahi sarda jyon asman zaroori ey; Prema bhagti de lai edan gur da gyan zaroori ey. Edan hi insani jame vich bhagwan zaruri ey; Jo avtar guru ton mildai aisa gyan zaroori ey. |

Just as the breath is essential for the life of every living being; Just as a bow is essential for aiming an arrow. Just as we cannot do without earth, and the sky is also essential; likewise, the divine knowledge from the True Master is essential for love and devotion of God. So also God has to be there in human form; Avtar says, the divine gift obtainable from the True Master is equally essential. |
Meaning
Just as breath is necessary for life; Just as a bow is necessary for aiming an arrow; Just as the sky is as necessary as the earth; Similarly, God Knowledge from a 'Guru' is necessary for love and devotion to God, and to receive this knowledge it is essential for God to manifest in a human body. Avtar says, the divine gift which is attained from the True Master is equally essential.
